 Sideline Power New Employees

The #1 Choice for Coaching Communications, Sideline Power, welcomes two new employees to the team.  The new driving force in the Marketing Department, Peyton Glatter joins Sideline Power as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Ben Armstrong joins Sideline Power as the newest Territory Representative in the Sales Team.

Sideline Power’s New Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Peyton Glatter, is a recent graduate from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. During her tenure at UNL, Peyton was a 4-year starter on the Husker Softball team. Maintaining a high level of academic and civic excellence, Glatter was awarded the Nebraska Bronze Academic Medallion in ’21 and a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team from ’19-’22. Glatter currently lives in Lincoln with long time boyfriend Colin and enjoys reading and painting in her spare time. In the community, Glatter enjoys spending time with family and friends, but her real passion comes from coaching at youth softball camps and private lessons. “I’m really happy to have found a good community feel,” states Glatter, “it really feels like a family.” Looking to the future, Glatter exudes excitement for applying the collegiate learning into real world application. “We are happy to have her,” says Matt Starr, Owner and CEO, “she is smart and enthusiastic. Really looking forward to seeing big things from her.”

Sideline Power’s newest Territory Representative, Ben Armstrong joins the team with a proven track record for success. After graduating from UNL with a degree in Business Administration, Armstrong built, owned, and operated a successful small business for nearly two decades. Moving into the next stage of his life, Armstrong decided to try his hand at full time sales. Working for the Varsity Group, Armstrong sold a variety of sports facilities equipment. However, the primary focus was always on selling the advertising time for the LED boards inside sporting venues. During his tenure, Armstrong led the sales team in gross number of contracts signed. His initiative and determination were key factors in Armstrong growing sales in his territory larger than any point since the company’s foundation in the early 2000’s. With a passion for the sport of football, Armstrong jumped at the opportunity to be a more integral part of the game by helping coaches find the best tech to help their teams succeed. “Coming on to work at Sideline Power felt like coming home. Everyone has been so welcoming, helpful, and easy to talk to. It really feels like a family.” Armstrong currently lives in Ashland, NE with his wife Ashley and their kids, Hunter (8) and Hadley (5).

liv nativity thank you

A big and heart-felt THANK YOU comes from Mark and Sondra Buell from the 3B Homestead for the wonderful support, help, prayers, and participation in The Living Nativity 2022.  Exactly 150 people volunteered for this year’s event, using their talents to serve in a variety of ways:  storytelling, parking cars, serving cocoa, set-up, tear-down, greeters, musicians (vocalists, keyboard, church choirs, and bands), providing cookies, and caring for the animals.  Members of the Cass County Creative Cats 4-H Club provided poultry for the event. Besides the weekend public events, private events included a church, two assisted living facilities, four home-school associations, a youth group, and two drive-through events.  Thank you to all!  Visitors and guests came from seven states and two countries, tripling attendance from past years.  Even though some of the days were cold, hearts were warmed, animals were well loved, storytelling was enlightening, and The Real Reason of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, was celebrated!

 NATIONAL BLOOD CRISIS!

Worst Blood Shortage in Over a Decade!

The American Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis – its worst blood shortage in over a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care. Doctors have been forced to make difficult decisions about who receives blood transfusions and who will need to wait until more products become available. Blood and platelet donations are critically needed to help prevent further delays in vital medical treatments. Please schedule your blood donation today.

About blood donation

To donate blood, individuals need to bring a blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification that are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also must meet certain height and weight requirements.

Donors can also save up to 15 minutes at the blood drive by completing a RapidPass®. With RapidPass®, donors complete the pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of donation, from a mobile device or computer. To complete a RapidPass®, follow the instructions at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass or use the Red Cross Blood Donor App.

In most cases, those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine can donate. However, knowing the name of the manufacturer of the vaccine they received is important in determining donation eligibility

Blood drive safety

Each Red Cross blood drive and donation center follows the highest standards of safety and infection control, and additional precautions – including face masks for donors and staff, regardless of vaccination status – have been implemented to help protect the health of all those in attendance. Donors are asked to schedule an appointment prior to arriving at the drive.

About the American Red Cross:

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides comfort to victims of disasters; supplies about 40% of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; distributes international humanitarian aid; and supports veterans, military members and their families. The Red Cross is a nonprofit organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to deliver its mission.
